Video Demonstration #2

Rose Demonstration Video
Rose Demonstration Video

I am kind of known for painting roses in a fast and loose style.   The process of painting the rose is essentially my one pass approach to all of my paintings.   I like to paint on dry paper and I often start with my darkest values first.  Pulling from dark to light charging the pigments with different colors as I go.   This video is a little rough and not my favorite rose painting but it will give you a good idea of how I approach florals.

Thanks for watching and let me know what you think!

Sandy! The Rose demo is terrific. I can hear your brush swishing on the paper. I so appreciate you sharing your technique of going from dark to light as I work the opposite. You are very inspirational. Thank you.

Thank you Joanne! I am so glad you enjoyed the vide and my technique! Let's paint my friend!

Darn - wish I could see this demo, but there is no link to click.... It must have worked for others...? Best wishes

Hi Beth! There is a link in the blog! In pale gray underneath the last sentence I wrote! Let me know if you still cannot see it!

Thanks dear!

Gratulation. Superb!🎨
Where can I get a painters Palette as yours, with an array of colours and six mixed fields? Maybe you can give me an adress (amazon)? Greeting Franz Georg

Hello Georg,

Thank you for writing to me. The palette is sold on this page of this
website. It is only plastic but it works very well for me. The plastic
does not stain (but I use non staining pigments) and it is very light
weight!

I hope this helps! Have a wonderful day,
Sandra

Love it. Beautiful light airy work. Easy for you cause you enjoy it so much. And it shows who your are in your heart and mind. A beautiful gentle soul.

Thank you Joan very much for your kind words and taking the time to watch my video. :)

All best...Mike

Your style is so intricate. You do not show details and that is the pleasure of your drawings. The hints and all of the tints make your mind to imagine the rose fully in our imagination. That is beautiful.

Thank you for your kind comment! I wish you all the best as your pursue the joy of painting in watercolor!
