I made two trips to Vancouver, British Columbia this year.   Both related to work.  The first was in June prior to traveling on the Plein Air Cruise to Alaska and the second to attend the opening of the Artists For Conservation annual exhibit.  Vancouver is undoubtably one of the coolest cities I have ever  visited.   They have successfully merged a massive urban city and beautiful wetland forest and mountain terrain.   You truly have the best of everything in this sprawling city.   This view is of the Lions Gate Bridge which leads into North Vancouver which sits at the base of Grouse Mountain.   I took the reference photo from the world renown Stanley Park.   This is the second painting that I have done from this area and over the winter I plan on revisiting my reference photos from all of the places I was privileged to visit this year.  Bulgaria, Italy, Canada, Alaska, Florida and of course my beloved Michigan.
